Why young people need more than the basics

Jackie Beere explained that her experience as a teacher and head teacher had given her a passion to try and help ensure that young people get more than the basics from school.
They need confidence, self-belief, clear goals and an enterprising attitude. Now working as a consultant, Jackie will be working with schools and others to help bring that essential dimension - and a commitment to learning for life essntial to the 21st century.
